Ruszyła 12. edycja międzynarodowego konkursu artystycznego Henkel Art.Award., kierowanego do twórców z 23 krajów Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej, w tym z Polski. Na główną wygraną, przyznawaną we współpracy z fundacją KulturKontakt Austria oraz wiedeńskim Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej - mumok, składają się dwie indywidualne wystawy: we wnętrzach mumok oraz w kraju ojczystym laureata, a także nagroda pieniężna w wysokości 7 tysięcy euro. Łączna wartość nagród wynosi 35 tysięcy euro.
W tegorocznej edycji organizatorzy ponownie czekają na prace artystów w wieku 18-40 lat, reprezentujące jedną z pięciu dziedzin: malarstwo, rysunek, fotografię, wideo i instalacje. Tematyka prac jest dowolna, a prestiżowe wyróżnienie przypadnie artyście, który ujmie jury innowacyjnością i wyjątkowością swoich artystycznych dokonań. Zgłoszenia można przesyłać do 7 czerwca.
Konkurs przebiega w dwóch etapach – krajowym i międzynarodowym. W etapie krajowym Henkel Art.Award. 2013, organizowanym przez Henkel Polska, prace artystów oceniać będą członkowie niezależnego polskiego jury. Zbierze się ono w drugiej połowie czerwca, aby wyłonić jednego finalistę z Polski. Aplikacja rodzimego laureata, podobnie jak finałowe zgłoszenia z pozostałych krajów uczestniczących w konkursie, zostanie wysłana do Wiednia. Tam latem międzynarodowe jury ekspertów wskaże spośród wszystkich zgłoszeń pięciu finalistów międzynarodowego etapu. Nazwisko zwycięzcy nagrody głównej zostanie ogłoszone podczas uroczystej gali, która odbędzie na początku grudnia 2013 r. w Wiedniu.
Tegoroczny zwycięzca polskiego etapu konkursu, niezależnie od wyniku w etapie międzynarodowym, otrzyma nagrodę pieniężną w wysokości 5 tysięcy złotych.
Prawidłowe zgłoszenie konkursowe powinno zawierać: - Życiorys oraz podsumowanie kariery artystycznej, w tym edukacja i wystawy (w języku angielskim lub niemieckim) - Reprodukcje od 3 do 5 prac - nie oryginały! - zgłoszenia z zakresu malarstwa, rysunku i fotografii: reprodukcje muszą być przesłane w postaci zdjęć, teczek lub katalogów artystycznych (ich maksymalny format to A3), organizatorzy nie przyjmują zgłoszeń z tego zakresu w postaci CD lub DVD, - zgłoszenia z dziedzin wideo i instalacji mogą być przesłane wyłącznie w formie płyt DVD i mogą trwać maksymalnie 10 minut.
