HTC Corporation zaprezentowała ulepszony interfejs Sense, dostępny na dwóch nowych smartfonach z systemem Android – HTC Legend i HTC Desire.
HTC Sense
Interfejs HTC Sense został zaprojektowany w celu prostszej i bardziej naturalnej obsługi telefonu. W procesie projektowania skupiono się na tym, jak ludzie zachowują się i komunikują. Wnioski uzyskane podczas badań zostały wykorzystane w nowym interfejsie i podzielone na trzy kategorie: telefon dla mnie, zawsze blisko i odkrywaj nieoczekiwane. Głównym zadaniem interfejsu HTC Sense jest ułatwienie interakcji z bliskimi i znajomymi. Jednym ze składników interfejsu jest widget HTC Friend Stream, który umożliwia zebranie całej historii komunikacji i aktualizacji, łącznie z wpisami Facebook, Twitter i Flickr. Agregacja komunikacji pozwala szybciej i lepiej docierać do najświeższych informacji, zdjęć i linków zamieszczanych przez znajomych w serwisach społecznościowych. Friend Stream umożliwia też przypisanie osób do odrębnych grup znajomych, przyjaciół, kolegów lub innych. Interfejs HTC Sense oferuje szeroką gamę nowych rozwiązań dla aplikacji, takich jak przeglądarka internetowa, program pocztowy i innych. Nowa wersja HTC Sense zawiera nowy czytnik wiadomości oraz nowy obrotowy widok siedmiu dostępnych ekranów, co przyśpiesza i ułatwia dostęp do najpotrzebniejszych funkcji telefonu.
HTC Legend
HTC Legend, z nowym interfejsem Sense, został umieszczony w stylowej, cienkiej obudowie wykonanej z jednego bloku aluminium. Smartfon wykorzystuje przestronny ekran wykonany w technologii AMOLED HVGA, o przekątnej 3,2 cala. Tradycyjny mechaniczny trackball został zastąpiony optycznym, z towarzyszącym płaskim przyciskiem okalającym czujnik, ulepszającym funkcjonalność.
HTC Desire
Smartfon wykorzystuje jeden z najbardziej zaawansowanych ekranów, które można znaleźć w telefonach. HTC Desire wyposażony jest w wyświetlacz AMOLED WVGA o przekątnej 3,7 cala, ułatwiający przeglądanie zawartości stron internetowych wideo i zdjęć, a także serwisów społecznościowych. Sercem nowego smartfonu jest procesor Snapdragon, o częstotliwości 1 GHz, mogący obsługiwać wideo Adobe® Flash 10.1. Podobnie jak HTC Legend, Desire również wykorzystuje optyczny trackball.
Nowy HTC Legend będzie dostępny w bezpośredniej sprzedaży na początku kwietnia 2010 r. w sugerowanej cenie detalicznej brutto 1999 zł. HTC Desire będzie dostępny w drugim kwartale 2010 r. w sugerowanej cenie detalicznej 2199 zł.
