Lech Lechowicz (ur. 1952) Historyk i krytyk fotografii, kurator, wykładowca, wieloletni kustosz w Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi w Dziale Fotografii i Technik Wizualnych (w latach 1977–1996). Autor ponad setki tekstów o fotografii, z czego wielu o charakterze pionierskim. Obecnie wykładowca w łódzkiej Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Filmowej, Telewizyjnej i Teatralnej oraz w Warszawskiej Szkole Fotografii Mariana Schmidta, wcześniej wykładał także w Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Łodzi oraz w Poznaniu. Współzałożyciel Polskiej Korporacji Fotografii (1995); Stowarzyszenia Historii Fotografii (1989/90), Naukowego Towarzystwa Fotografii (2001). Współzakładał i współredagował pismo „OBSCURA” (1981–1989), które w epoce PRL w wyjątkowy sposób podejmowało i krytycznie omawiało problematykę mediów w sztuce.
