Zapraszamy na wernisaż wystawy Katarzyny Kalua Kryńskiej pt. Black Pool of Ireland w dniu 8 grudnia (niedziela) 2013 r. o godz. 17.00 w Galerii Drugiego Planu w Domu Kultury Chwałowice, ul. 1 Maja 91B w Rybniku. Wystawa czynna do 08.01.2014 r.
Podczas Wieczoru odbędzie się ponadto pokaz i wernisaż astrofotografii Michała Kałużnego www.astrofotografia.pl oraz wernisaż malarstwa Grzegorza Chudego. Wieczór uświetni koncert muzyków z zespołu BELTAINE www.beltaine.pl.
WSTĘP WOLNY!
Kasia Kalua Kryńska - ukończyła studia na Wydziale Architektury na Politechnice Warszawskiej (1999) oraz Europejskiej Akademii Fotografii (2005). Od 2010 jest na Studiach Doktoranckich na Akademii Sztuk Pięknych wWarszawie na Wydziale Grafiki w Pracowni Fotografii prof. Mariusza Dąbrowskiego. Architekt, designer i fotograf. Miłośniczka fotografii analogowej, używa aparatów średniego formatu Rolleiflex, Hasselblad i Holga oraz Wielkiego Formatu. Swoje zdjęcia prezentowała na wystawach indywidualny i zbiorowych w Polsce, Irlandii, Portugalii, Holandii, Niemczech i USA. Laureatka konkursu fotograficznego 5th Annual Black&White Spider Awards w kategorii Still Life. Uczestniczyła w interdyscyplinarnym projekcie The Promised City, gdzie jej dokumentalna seria zdjęć Przejście została zaprezentowana na wystawach w Warszawie, Berlinie i Mumbaju. Jej zdjęcia zostały wyróżnione na Fotofestiwalu w Łodzi 2010, na VII Warszawskim Festiwalu Fotografii Artystycznej 2011 oraz na międzynarodowej wystawie The Art Of Photography Show w San Diego California 2011. Prace z serii Between Two Moons zajęły pierwsze miejsce w konkursie Wet Plate Copmetiton Canada 2012. Jej prace były publikowane między innymi: Wysokie Obcasy, Zwierciadło, Zabytki, Weranda - Polska, Soura Magazine - Zjednoczone Emiraty Arabskie, Blow Photo Magazine, Prism Photo Magazine - Irlandia, SHOTS Magazine - USA, SEITIES - Canada. Black Pool of Ireland Black Pool jest nazwą, której nikt inny prócz Irlandczyka nie potrafi wyjaśnić, a i w wydaniu Irlandczyka wyjaśnienia przybierają nieoczekiwane formy - jedno jest jednak pewne - Black Pool jest nierozerwalnie związane z Dublinem. To synonim Dublina. Jedna z wersji mówi, że Dubh-Linn to po irlandzku „czarny staw”, który powstał na styku rzek Liffey i Poddle. W tym miejscu powstawały osady gaelickie. Inna z wersji mówi o skandynawskim pochodzeniu nazwy. Irlandia najeżdżana była wielokrotnie przez Wikingów, z których wielu osiedliło się porzucając zbójecki tryb życia na rzecz handlu i rzemiosła. Niejasność pochodzenia nazwy i wskazywanie dwóch głównych źródeł doskonale obrazuje Irlandię, również dzisiaj. Irlandia to tygiel, w którym zmieszały się te dwie dawne kultury (dziś uzupełniane przez tradycje przywożone przez nowych osadników), tworząc fascynującą nową jakość. Irlandia przyciąga, rzuca czar, sprawia, że nie można jej zapomnieć. To również stało się moim udziałem. Zdjęcia prezentowane w projekcie „Black Pool of Ireland” powstały pod wpływem tego czaru - to zapisy spotkań z ludźmi, to fotograficzna rejestracja miejsc i przede wszystkim klimatu, który mnie tam otaczał. Wystawa prezentuje fragment projektu, wiem też, że będzie on kontynuowany - Irlandia to miejsce, do którego warto wracać.
